Creating Champions:

Promoting Wellness in Athletic Coaches

Workshop Description

Creating Champions is a workshop dedicated to helping coaches at all levels of competition manage stress and improve their ability to develop athletes. Instead of a outdated approach that suggests, "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen," today's coaches need modern ways to reach athletes and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Developed by Shay Reeves, AMFT, Creating Champions teaches coaches how to effectively create a supportive and progressive team culture by promoting their own wellness. Workshop participants will learn Mindful coaching principles and practices, as well as how to promote healthy emotional and relational boundaries on and off the field. This workshop offers a full toolbox for modern coaches to create champions. Following this workshop, there is also an opportunity to participate in an ongoing resource and support group for interested coaches.
